The My Photos section of your MyHydroscape dashboard shows every photo you have ever submitted, across every record type, in a grid. Tap one to see it full-screen.
Every photo from every form you've completed:
- Biodiversity sighting photos
- Cormorant sighting photos
- Water quality photos
- Deterrent deployment photos
- Any scene or context shots
Newest first. There is no filter, but each tile carries a small coloured dot in the corner for the kind of record it came from, and the label shows the species, the date and the county.
Tap an image and you get the photo as it was stored, with the species and the date under it. Nothing else: no position, no notes, no identification result. For those, use the record itself in the Species or Map sections of the dashboard.
Three reasons most people find useful:
- Quality control. Six months in, reviewing your own photos quickly shows you which ones are usable evidence and which were rushed. It improves your future submissions.
- Species review. Photos don't lie about species ID. Reviewing old photos sometimes reveals that you misidentified something, or that you were right and the AI was wrong.
- The record itself. Most people don't realise until they look at it how much of their time outdoors has been documented. A year of gallery is a year of your life on the water.
- Photos from submissions you made before your MyHydroscape account was created aren't linked to your account and won't appear
- Photos from offline submissions that haven't synced yet won't appear until sync completes
- Photos whose record did not store a usable image, which can happen if a report was filed without one
You cannot add photos to the gallery directly. They only arrive with a report, and they cannot be removed afterwards: a record used as evidence is fixed once it is filed, so there is no edit and no delete.
If you want a photo taken down, or a copy of all of them, email info@hydroscape-group.co.uk. There is no download button for it yet, so it is a job someone does by hand.
Deleting your MyHydroscape account does not remove your photographs. They stay with the records, with your name off them. See deleting your account.
